Complete audio album for Modern Theological German: A Reader and Dictionary, published by Baker Books. The readers, Dr. Helmut Ziefle, the author of Modern Theological German: A Reader and Dictionary, and his wife Christa, are both native German speakers. The album consists of sixteen (16) selections that have been converted from cassette to digital format. These include readings from several biblical books—Genesis, Psalms, Ezekiel, Matthew, Luke, Acts, and Romans—and from the following German theologians: Martin Luther, Albert Schweitzer, Karl Barth, Dietrich Bonhoeffer, Helmut Thielicke, Theo Sorg, Gerhard Maier, and Rainer Riesner. Listening to these recordings not only teaches correct pronunciation but also provides invaluable preparation for understanding theological lectures in the German language. The audio album also provides guidance on how to make the best use of the audio recordings and is an excellent supplement to Modern Theological German: A Reader and Dictionary. Fifteen of these audio recordings are being made available for the first time since 1997. One of the recordings, from Karl Barth's Die Liebe, is being made available for the first time since 1987.
